KENYA : Repentance and Holiness Church founder Prophet David Owuor is at it again, doing what no man has managed to do so far, prophesying the end of the World.
Owuor, despite his earlier prophecies on this endeavor flopping, is relentless on his pursuit to put a timeline on when humans should prepare for the second coming of the Messiah.
The Self-Proclaimed prophet had in September stated the World would end on November 2, 2024, leaving Nairobians ruffled after claiming no one from the Kenyan Capital city would enter heaven. Come November 2, the Sun rose and set, with the Prophet and his Congregrants mainting silence after another Prophetic attempt failure.
The Clergyman, popularly known by his staunt followers as 'the mightiest Prophet' has once again urged humans to repent before end of the year, stating that Christ will make a comeback on December 31, 2024, a minute to midnight.
According to Owuor, he had a revelation in which the most high expressed dissatisfaction at the way humans have been conducting themselves. The Prophet alleges that war, crime and greed has fueled humans to forget brotherhood and looking out for each other, angering their creator.
Owour, is not new to controversy. One of the most recent controversial allegations was he prophesied the Corona Virus on December, 1, 2015 prior to the COVID 19 virus Global disaster.
Speaking in Nakuru earlier this year, Owour took credit for prophesying the COVID 19 Virus, warning Kenyans to steer clear of making fun of him.
"Kenya, don't play with me! I'm the one who brought Corona virus. Look how many people died under my watch" he said.
He also highlighted that he was in Haiti and warned them, but they didn't listen to him, hence their suffering as Gangs take over the Caribbean Country.
The Repentance and Holiness Church founder has also been on the spot in recent years after warning Kenyans of Post-election violence prior to the 2022 General Elections, a prophecy that never came to be.
His Prophecies, often involving Natural Disasters and Calamities, have seen the Mightiest Prophet labelled a Prophet of Doom.
Last Month, Atheists in Kenya (AIK) Cautioned Kenyans Against attending Prophet Owuor's Crusades. In a statement to newsrooms, the organisation's president Harrison Mumia held that the miracle crusades were hoodwinking Citizens.
"We ask Kenyans to keep off self-styled Prophet Owuor's miracle crusades as we have reason to believe that his miracles are stage-managed with the sole aim of hoodwinking unsuspecting believers. Prophet Owuor is a con artist and Kenyans must keep their distance from him," he stated.
Mumia explained that some preachers had been taking advantage of their congregants, pulling stunts aimed to attract believers as they make it appear as God's miracle terming it as subliminal brainwashing.
"We understand that the church is viewed by believers as a house of God and a holy setting where God works his miracles and where they get consolation from stressful day to day hustles.
"Many hope to see an end to their life struggles - be it about finances, health or marriage issues by listening to preachers. Owuor's followers continuously believe that Owuor is indeed a prophet capable of performing miracles," he added.
The organisation further urged the Government to investigate his miracles, especially those that contradict all known scientific facts, stating It is high time Kenyans stood up against fake Prophets and miracle healers.
