Ruto Cares - First Lady Mama Rachel

KENYA'S First Lady Mama Rachel Ruto has defended the Kenya-Kwanza administration, reassuring Citizens that her husband, President William Ruto, will steer the Country to prosperity.

Speaking on Sunday, December 8, 2024 during a Church service, the first lady expressed optimism on the Measures the head of state is taking to make the cost of living for the common Mwananchi.

Mama Rachel, stated that she has known the President for too long to cast any doubts on his agenda, adding that for as long as she has known him, way before their marriage, he's a goal-oriented individual, who will not rest until he achieves what he set's his mind on.

"I knew President William Ruto before we got Married, I want to assure Kenyans he Cares." She said.

The First lady, defended the President's donation in churches, which has caused public uproar in recent weeks.

Mama Rachel, described President Ruto as a giver, who finds joy in doing good and helping others out. She stated that the head of state did not start giving recently, insisting Kenyans should get used to this because it was not going to end anytime soon either.

" Whenever we had visitors in our Nairobi Home, President Ruto used to get Cash from his pockets and give to Bishops as Transport. One morning I asked him for Cash to use on family expenses, he entered his hands in pockets and they were empty, he told me he had given it all to our visitors earlier. Kenyans, Do not worry about our President's giving gesture, he has been giving and will continue doing so" Mama Rachel said.

First Lady Rachel Ruto had joined congregants for a Sunday service at AIC Pioneer in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County. She was accompanied by Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi and Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii.

Speaking during the Same event, Oscar Sudi faulted some churches and bishops for turning down donations from President William Ruto yet he had been supporting churches throughout his political career.

The legislator said Ruto has been attending churches and donating or giving in kind even when he was an MP and as such, it was improper for some churches to behave as if there were no needs within the churches.

“This is all about God’s work and no one has the right to threaten us or say they will not receive money from Ruto because of some strange reasons, We have even been threatened but the same God blessed Ruto to become President. It's all God’s work.” Sudi Said.

"Having been raised in a Christian family and attended Sunday school, I strongly believe in the biblical principle of giving and contributing to the work of God. This understanding of scripture is the reason I will continue giving to the church and in support of God's work.

Even as leaders we sometimes come and give pledges but with God’s grace, we usually get the money and deliver our pledges.” he Stated.
