KENYA : National Assembly Deputy Speaker Gladys Boss Shollei has expressed confidence in President William Ruto's administration ability to transform the lives of Kenyans.
Speaking during a Church Service at AIC Kipkorgot on Sunday December 22, 2024, Shollei lauded President Ruto for initiating 'transformative projects, aimed at easing the cost of living for the common Citizen.
According to the Uasin Gishu County's Woman Representive, Kenya will never transform unless it is through President William Ruto.
" If this Country does not transform under President William Ruto, it will never be transformed", Gladys stated.
The Legislator, urged Kenyans to Keep Supporting President Ruto and Believing in his administration, stating that the Fruits of his hard work will soon be within their reach.
Shollei, Pledged her full support to President Ruto, assuring the head of state that she will do as he pleases on her part to play the role of nation building, even if he requires her to make tough decisions.
"I am loyal. If you tell me Gachagua aende nyumbani, Gachagua anaenda nyumbani" National Assembly Deputy Speaker Gladys Shollei declared her unwavering loyalty to President Ruto, referencing the recent impeachment of the Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
The Deputy Speaker, urged leaders to continue serving Kenyans unbowed by the Challenges the Government is Facing, especially from Opposition of it's initiatives by Nay-Sayers.
Speaking during the Same event, President William Ruto assured Kenyans of ongoing transformation of the Country.
“Many people didn’t believe in us, but we have now started witnessing the face of transformation in Kenya," he said.
The Head of State, reiterated his administration's commitment to fulfilling the Pre-Election promises to Kenyans, through the Bottom-up Economic Transformation Agenda.
Ruto, also announced during the service government is set to begin the construction of a dual carriageway on the Nairobi - Nakuru highway and extend it to reach Malaba Boarder.
He disclosed that plans to dual the road were underway but a Public Private Partnership (PPP) the government had with a French company did not go through.
"We had a PPP program between us and a French company but it didn't work out. We have other alternatives that we are working on as a government; the commitment that I want to give you is that next year we will begin the construction of a dual carriageway from Nairobi to Nakuru and then later we will take it all the way to Malaba." He said.
"We already have a program and we are already in discussion with different companies on how that road is going to be done so that we can ease the congestion and provide more transport capabilities," Ruto added.
The announcement, comes as the Nairobi-Nakuru Highway experiences significant traffic congestion between Kimende and Flyover, as well as along the Limuru-Mai Mahiu stretch following the Festive Season Travel's.
