Highlighting the importance of youth engagement, Njenga introduced what he termed the Kabiruini Declaration, which commits young people in the Mt Kenya region to work alongside the current government.

His Remarks, come as President William Ruto faces backlash from the Mt Kenya Region amid a rift between him and Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

In December, the Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua fired warning shots at President William Ruto and his cronies over what he termed as betrayal of the Mt Kenya region electorate.

Speaking on December 15, 2024, while attending a Sunday service at Kanunga Baptist Church in Nyeri County, Gachagua cautioned the head of state and his allies to tread carefully.

Gachagua stated President Ruto only knows him and the region's residents partially, but has no idea the extend of damage the Former Dp and Mt Kenya region region can cause to his political career saying " Walituona Usiku hawatujui vizuri".

Gachagua, said that Mt Kenya residents will not forget President William Ruto's betrayal by fueling his ouster from office through an impeachment motion, despite the duo being elected to serve Kenyans together.

Gachagua, opined it was hypocrisy of the highest order, for the head of state to label him a 'tribalist' after forming a broad-based government with the opposition, forgetting he, Gachagua, lobbied for Ruto's election in 2022, where he received immense support from the Kikuyu community, despite Ruto coming from a different community.

Meanwhile, the Former Deputy President urged the Ruto-led administration to stay off affairs of the region, while urging Mt Kenya residents not to be swayed by The 'betrayer'.

According to the impeached deputy president, he was among the majority of Kenyans who have learnt their lesson, for trusting the head of state, just because he was transversing the nation during campaigns carrying a bible and spreading a hustler 'bottom-up' Narrative.

Gachagua, empasized the people of Mt Kenya do not have a problem with anyone, but will make a wiser decision come 2027 General Elections.

The Former Deputy President, made a mockery of legislators affiliated to President Ruto from the region who supported his impeachment, claiming they have not set foot in the region but instead are holed up in Nairobi and Mombasa, over fear of facing the wrath of locals. Gachagua, assured them their time in Parliament is limited, warning the region will vote-out each one of them.

His sentiments were echoed by Nyeri County Governor, Mutahi Kahiga who had accompanied him to the service.

The Nyeri Governor vowed that Mt Kenya region will fully support the impeached Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua in the 2027 General elections, warning anyone who goes against Gachagua will be a 'trator.

According to the Nyeri Governor, Rigathi Gachagua remains the region’s leader and will give the political direction in 2027.

" Hapa hatutaki wasaliti. Kuchukua hicho kiti wewe ni msaliti na sisi tuko nyuma ya Gachagua. We remain solidly behind him." Mutahi said.

The Governor, reiterated that the only political seat they want in Nyeri County and Mt Kenya region at Large, is Presidency, staying President William Ruto's administration had betrayed them and they won't accept compensation through cabinet Secretaries slots.

" Kama kuna kiti kitaletwa Nyeri ni kimoja na ni cha President. Sisi hatutaki mawaziri. Tunyang’anywe Deputy President tuletewe mawaziri?" He Quiped.

Kahiga, cautioned the state against continued frustration of the former deputy President, stating the government should leave him alone, since he's now an ordinary Kenyan after they pushed him out, through a trumped-up impeachment.

" If you see us being silent leave us alone, we are following what we have been told to do. If he says we speak then we will but for now he has said we remain quiet. You impeached him now leave him alone." He said.

Last Month, Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua dismissed sentiments shared by leaders affiliated to the Kenya-Kwanza administration, who insinuated that the Mt Kenya region 'owes' President William Ruto.

Gachagua, Said that the Mt Kenya Region electorate is not Politically indebted to President Ruto in any way and can decide 'independently' on which leadership path to take going forward.

Speaking on December 18, 2024, Gachagua claimed that the Region had Overwhelmingly Supported Ruto's 2022 Presidential Bid, hence 'repaying' the support his side had accorded Retired President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Additionally, the Former Deputy President, alleged that the GEMA block, which composes of Kikuyu, Embu, Meru and Akamba Communities, have unanimously agreed to Support Wiper Party Leader, Kalonzo Musyoka's Presidential Bid come 2027.

Gachagua, revealed that he is working closely with the Wiper Party Chief, in efforts to 'liberate the Mt Kenya Region and Country at large, from the grip of Ruto's leadership in the near future.

The Fall-out between President William Ruto and Rigathi Gachagua, stems from the impeachment of the Former as Kenya's Deputy President a few months ago.

The Impeachment, has seen President Ruto's appeal to the Mt Kenya Electorate turn to disdain, fuelled by Accusations of Betrayal by the Head of State.

Leaders affiliated to the President from the Mt Kenya Region have been unsuccessfull in attempts to defend Ruto since the Impeachment, encountering agitated crowds at every attempt.

President Ruto himself has been tirelessly attempting to cool the political heat in the region, getting 'burned' at each attempt.

The Former Deputy President's allies on the other hand have been making in-roads into the Mt Kenya Region village's at each dusk to dawn, selling wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

Funerals, Church Services, Weddings and each gathering in the vast vote-rich Mt Kenya Block, is now being graced by the Presence of a Gachagua-Ally appealing to the Common Mwananchi to Support Ruto's Ouster From Office come 2027.
