Gatundu Prophet Gives Govt Ultimatum to Re-Open Shrines or Face the Wrath

A Self Proclaimed Prophet has ordered the Government of Kenya to re-open a closed shrine or face the Wrath of the gods.

The Government closed Kimunyu Praying Shrine cave (Kimunyu cave's) located in Gatundu South, last week.

Believers, pastors, bishops and prophets tears of pain and anguish fell on deaf ears after dozens of police officers landed in the caves chasing them away.

This happened just days after a woman identified as Beth Muthoni Watuku was allegedly murdered there, where she had gone to fast and pray for a breakthrough in her Life.

The mother of two was found dead a little over a week ago, leaving her family devastated and desperate for answers.

An eyewitness who spoke to police and journalists recounted seeing Muthoni alive before her disappearance.

According to the witness, the deceased woman was in the company of an unidentified man with whom they exchanged pleasantries before separating for personal prayer.

The eyewitness added that he noticed the pair again at around 5 pm as they entered a cave and headed downhill.

"However, less than five minutes later, we saw them changing direction and going uphill," he said.

The witness revealed that the man appeared to direct Muthoni to a detour behind the caves. Moments later, he saw the man return alone, holding her handbag, after which he received a phone call.

"I heard him say he was looking after a woman’s handbag when the person on the other end asked him to go fix something in the church," the eyewitness stated.

An autopsy report revealed that the mum of two had serious injuries and she was hit on the head and the back.

The coroner's findings poured cold water on the earlier belief that Muthoni could have slipped and fallen to her death.

According to detectives, investigations into the incident are still ongoing and the shrine has been marked as a crime scene.

In a video shared on TikTok, the Self-Proclaimed Prophet demanded the government reopen the sacred shrines, warning that dire consequences would follow if his demands were not met within 30 days.

He reiterated that every Kenyan should know he had given the government one month to act on his ultimatum.

"I am done here," the man declared. "I am a prophet. It won’t even reach February. If this place is not opened, you will all be under my feet. Open this place," he said.
