Homa Bay : Teacher Stabs Man to Death as they Fight over Female Form 4 Student

A football team in Homa Bay County, Kenya, has been thrown into mourning following the loss of it's Goalkeeper in a love turned sour affair.

Boaz Owino, aged 27, was allegedly stabbed to death by a teacher trainee at Asumbi Teacher Training College (TTC), in Homa Bay county.

Area acting assistant chief Tobias On’gwena confirmed the incident saying, Boaz was stabbed during a fight over a Form Four female student.

Police in the area have already launched investigations into the incident with the suspect currently being detained at Mbita Police Station.

Boas Owino died when he was being rushed to Homa Bay Referral Hospital after the suspect stabbed him after they differed on who should have the student.

A Friend of the late, who broke the news, had this to say :

" It is with deep sadness that I share my grief over the sudden loss of our beloved brother, Boaz Owino Amata, known as “Ayano Mizinga – The Beast.” Reflecting on our time together, I am profoundly touched by the impact he had on my life and the lives of many, especially his loyal supporters in community football across Suba North.

Ayano was not only a cherished brother but also a source of inspiration for many. He was a steadfast support for his parents and offered wisdom and comfort to friends during tough times, making him a cornerstone of our family and community.

On the football pitch, he was more than our goalkeeper for Ogongo F.C.; he was a mentor, motivating us with his talent and spirit. His contributions during community tournaments were invaluable, and the memories of our triumphs will forever remain in our hearts.

To all family and friends, I extend my deepest condolences. Boaz embodied hope and pride, and we had great expectations for his future. Let us find solace in his legacy and unite in our sorrow and appreciation for the time we shared with him."
