Interior Ps Raymond Omollo has this afternoon held a consultative forum with youth representatives from all 35 wards of Kisumu County to engage on matters of empowerment, inclusion and security.
Omollo, who was in the company of his colleague, Medical Services PS Dr. Ouma Oluga, reassured the youths that Government is committed to empowering youths in the country through job creation and Reforms to support self-employment.
PS Omollo gifted Kisumu County youth group 5 Tuk Tuks, 10 motorcycles, 1 Matatu and at the same time Disbursed Sh 500,000 to Mama Mboga's.

"We explored strategies to amplify youth voices in governance, enhance community policing structures and strengthen programs that equip young people with productive skills for self-reliance and meaningful participation in national development." said the Ps after the event.
According to the Interior Ps, the government is committed to tackling rising insecurity in the wake of gangs that have been terrorising locals. He stated that one major factor that has seen youths engage in crime is high unemployment, hence the need for reforms to enhance job opportunities creation.
The Interior Ps urged the youth in Kisumu to continue supporting the Kenya-Kwanza administration as it fast tracks actualizing the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).
