Kenya Power has announced scheduled power interruptions across several parts of the country on Sunday, September 28.
In a statement on Saturday, September 27, the company said the outages are meant to allow for planned maintenance works.
In Nairobi County, the areas to be affected are Donholm, Muthurwa, Mosque, Donholm, City Stadium, Pemba Street, Factory Street, Serengeti House, Landi Mawe, Enterprise Rd, NCPB, Ministry of Mining, Industrial Area Police, Kibitz, Prisons, Kenya Railways, Numerical Machines, Workshop Rd and Chrisco Church Carbacide Gases.
Other affected areas are Commercial Street, KEMSA, Safety Hose, Nita, Mecole, Dunga Rd, Dunga Close, Bunyala Rd, Vee Rubber, CFF Church, Baricho Rd, Sotik Rd, Bungoma Rd, Carrefour, Shamas, Vinodip Towers, Witu Rd, DHL, Securicor Kenya, Caterpillar & adjacent customers.
In Makueni County, the outage will affect the whole of Kibwezi and Kiboko.
The areas listed include Makindu Mkt, Kiundwani Mkt, Mbuinzau, Kibwezi, Kinyambu, Machinary, Mtito Andei, Kisayani, Ikutha, Mutomo & adjacent customers.
The whole of Wote and Kiboko will also be affected, covering Kasuvi Mkt, Mbia, Itulu, Yimwaa, Kavete, Mbuvo, Kathonzweni, Kavumbu, Kalawa, Katangini & adjacent customers.
In Kiambu County, Juja Town and JKUAT are listed.
The blackout will affect Juja Industrial, Mungetho, Mirimaini, Kiaora Farm, Nchengo Farm, Mtaro Farm, Kariki Farm, Bob Harries, Kijito, Mashule Est, Karakuta Est, Gachibi Farm, Kwa Ndumbe, Kirai, Mutuma Mkt, Gitatuiiya, Mangu, St. Francis Girls and Kairi.
Kagabwa, Gatukuyu Mkt, Kawira, Diana Farm, Kihenia Farm, Kigio Mkt, Oriti Farm, Maryhill Girls, Eagadds Farm Brister Girls, Gachororo, Juja Preparatory, Newwood Est, Silvercoin, St. Peter Sch, Kenyatta Rd, Mukinyi Rd & adjacent customers will also be affected.
In Mombasa County, the outage will affect Changamwe NHC.
Areas listed are Ashton Mombasa Apparel, EPZ Limited, Milstar Investments Limited, Coast Energy Solutions Ltd, African Gas & Oil Company Limited, Kenya Railways, Kensalt Limited, Chandarana S/Mkt Ltd and Mitchell Cotts S Ltd
