Chelsea Win Vs Newcastle As West Ham THRASH Manchester United

Chelsea was looking to get back on track in the Premier League this afternoon as they hosted Newcastle in west London. M

The Blues saw their impressive early momentum under Enzo Maresca dented slightly in a hard-fought loss away at early pacesetters Liverpool last weekend.

Chelsea quickly brushed off that disappointment in Europe on Thursday, making wholesale changes once again as their second string produced another statement with a 4-1 Conference League rout of Panathinaikos in Greece.

Chelsea started like a house on fire and got a goal for their troubles in the 18th Minute with a Nicolas Jackson Strike.

However, they petered out, letting Newcastle get a foothold in the game and an equaliser in the 32nd Minute through Alexander Isak.

The Blues had the last laugh, however, grabbing a winner thanks to the heroic Cole Palmer.

Cole Palmer, continues to establish his name as Chelsea's Anchor, carrying the team through thick and thin with Classic touches and Bewildering finishes.

As it Stands, No Chelsea player has scored more league goals than Cole Palmer since the 2017/18 season.

West Ham posted a 2-1 win over touring Manchester United at the London Stadium on Sunday in the Premier League.

Crysencio Summerville opened the scoring off the bench before Casemiro pulled United back on level terms. However, Bowen struck from the spot to help his side post a 2-1 win over the visitors.

Erik ten Hag opted to field Andre Onana in goal behind the defensive line of Noussair Mazraoui, Lautaro Martinez, Matthijs De Ligt and Diogo Dalot. Christian Eriksen and Casemiro we deployed in holding roles. Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho were on the wings with Bruno Fernandes. Rasmus Hojlund started up front for the Reds.

Julen Lopetegui started Lukasz Fabianski in goal with Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Konstantinos Mavropanos, Max Kilman and Emerson in defence. Edson Alvarez and Guido Rodrigues began in the middle of the park. Jarrod Bowen and Carlos Soler were on the wings with Lucas Paqueta in the middle with Michail Antonio playing as a striker.

United had the better chances in the first period of the game as they came close to making the scoreboard tick by clipping the woodwork early in the tie, before duplicating the same deep in the first period as a corner curled in stayed out.

The scoreboard had not moved since kickoff as the sides went into the break at nil-nil and everything to play for.

Garnacho had a gilt-edged chance to put the visitor ahead just past the 50th-minute mark as his left-footed volley trickled the side netting.

West Ham churned out a chance for Antonio following some fancy feet at the edge of the box, before the Englishman held up for a bit, before curling one just off the mark as the London Stadium held its breath.

Antonio was replaced by Danny Ings in the 71st minute as West Ham went in search of an opener. But, their prayers were answered by Summerville as he put the ball into the net with a deft touch sliding to the ground to meet a dangerous flat cross into the box.

Casemiro headed United back on level terms in the 81st minute, but a goal from the spot for Bowen gave the Hammers all points available at home in their 2-1 win over ten Hag’s men.
