The Nairobi skyline on Wednesday night witnessed the first-ever public drone light show powered by the Jay Pyrotechnics company.
About 300 hundred dazzling drone shows lit up the skies, displaying to residents and visitors a new experience, a combination of modernity, realistic art show, and light show with laser mapping technology.
Jay Pyrotechnics Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Jayshree Suchak said the drone light show coincided with the inauguration of the newly completed green-certified Purple Dot Tower, a 14-storey building located along Mombasa Road, an event where hundreds of drones fitted with lights created moving formations in the sky.
The drones programmed to fly in 3D space to make identifiable visual forms and create a stunning visual spectacle for events featured a groundbreaking combination of cutting-edge drone light technology and symphonic music, creating a mesmerizing artistic spectacle at the unveiling of the Purple Dot Tower.
“We successfully executed a groundbreaking 300-drone light show for the official launch of Purple Dot Tower in Nairobi,” said the CEO. Suchak added that the drone show is the first ever of its kind in Nairobi, marking a significant milestone in the city’s entertainment and even production landscape.
She further noted that the drone light show was a high-impact artistic infusion of innovation and tradition in a digital age, terming it breathtaking as city dwellers witnessed a show featuring drones that was synchronized with music, lasers, and fireworks.
“Industry stakeholders contend that drone lights are the perfect substitutes for fireworks displays as they are noiseless and less pollutant,” stated Suchak and added, “Drone light shows are becoming increasingly popular for events, festivals, and celebrations.
The CEO observed that drones are a friendlier and more interactive display without pollution, a spectacle that illuminates the skyline and the hearts of the people.
She said the drone light shows and aerial performances are redefining the future of entertainment on a large scale in Kenya and across Africa.
The groundbreaking event was spearheaded by Jay Pyrotechnics, a leading brand in fireworks and visual experiences across the African continent.
