The technical glitch has left thousands of eager supporters unable to secure their seats, and many have taken to social media to express their frustration at the system failure during the crucial opening minutes of sales.

The Harambee Stars have exceeded expectations in CHAN 2024. Their progression to the knockout phase has not gone unnoticed at the highest levels of government.

President William Ruto has backed the squad, making significant financial commitments to motivate the players. The President has pledged that each Harambee Stars player will receive Ksh1 million and a two-bedroom affordable house should they advance beyond the quarterfinals.

In previous commitments, President Ruto awarded each player Ksh1 million for every win, Ksh500,000 for every draw, and Ksh2.5 million for the win against Zambia.

In addition, the ODM leader, Raila Odinga, awarded each of the players KSh500,000 after they qualified for the quarter finals, bringing the total awards to KSh5.5 million.
