Calvince Ochieng, the Bodaboda rider who seconded William Samoei Ruto's candidature for Presidency has graduated.
Ochieng, has graduated from Kenyatta University (KU) with a Diploma in Security Science and Management.
Ruto, then as Deputy President under Uhuru Kenyatta's President, picked a mama mboga identified as Pauline Waithera as the proposer of his presidential candidature.
Ruto's presidential bid was seconded by a boda boda rider identified as Calvin Okoth from Kangemi.
The two flanked Ruto and his running mate, impeached deputy President Rigathi Gachagua to the Bomas of Kenya where they were cleared to campaign in the August elections.
Addressing journalists after being cleared by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), Ruto said he met the two during their economic forums.
The proposer, Pauline Waithera, runs a fruit grocery shop in Kiambu town while Calvince Okoth is a boda boda operator in Kangemi, Dagoretti North according to Ruto.
"Not to forget Pauline Waithera, the great woman from Kiambu market in Kangangi where I met her in one of our economic forums discussing the economy of every county," said Ruto.
"...Calvine Ochieng who runs his small hustle around Kilimani and constantly gives us support in the UDA office whenever we need somebody to transport something," he added.
He described them as great Kenyans with a passion and looking for an opportunity to be their best further noting that was the future that United Democratic Alliance (UDA) had for its people.
