KENYA : Former Deputy President this afternoon met over 80 former MCAs and Councillors from across the Nairobi County, at his Wamunyoro Residence in Nyeri County, as he deliberates his next Political move.
Taking to his Social Media Pages on Thursday, February 20, Gachagua stated that they discussed the changes that have come into play since their days in office, the lessons they have learnt along the way, and the opportunities these changes and lessons present to their emerging team.

" We also discussed the dynamics of Nairobi and where and how to engage, to affect the positive change we envision. The consultations continue." he added.
The Former Dp has been holding meetings at his Nyeri Residence since his impeachment, as he builds up support for his strategy to rally leaders against the Kenya-Kwanza Administration ahead of the 2027 General Elections.
The Former Deputy President recently revealed details of his next Political Path, the future of the Mt Kenya Region and confirmed that he is preparing to unveil a new political party ahead of the 2027 General elections.
Speaking on Sunday, February 9, 2025 in a Media Engagement at his Wamunyoro Residence, Gachagua declared that the Mt. Kenya region would not support Ruto or partner with him, accusing the president of conning and humiliating the region.
"President Ruto conned us and has humiliated this community. We will never support Ruto; we will never partner in politics and we will never vote for him," he said.
In a direct attack on President Ruto’s leadership of UDA, Gachagua lamented what he described as political betrayal and alienation.
"From today henceforth, our people are done with UDA. We joined this party knowing it's a good outfit, but President Ruto is both the driver and the holder of the logbook, and now he has declared war on us. It's time we get our own vehicle," he added.
Gachagua also took a swipe at Ruto’s perceived attempts to weaken the Mount Kenya region politically, warning that such moves would not succeed.
"I have been asked to look for friends. Our friends have resolved that they will not allow Ruto's plan to isolate the mountain starting with Ukambani which is now known as Mount Kenya South," he stated.
Meanwhile, the former Dp revealed that the official unveiling for his Party is set for May 2025, after which party offices will be opened across the country.
"Our vehicle is ready. It is in the showroom, a brand-new vehicle. However, I will not name the number plate and its colour. Our enemies might sabotage its launch but we will unveil in May 2025 and we will start opening offices and allow all Kenyans to join," he said.
