Ruto and CSs Make Appointments in Gov't

KENYA : President William Ruto has made Changes in the Tea Board of Kenya and appointed Ndungu Gathinji as the chairperson of the Board revoking the appointment of Jacob Kamau Kahiu.

Through a Gazette Notice published on Monday, February 17, Ruto indicated that Gathinji would serve on the board for 3 years.

Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi on the other hand, appointed Kungu Muigai as the chairperson of the Kenya Cultural Centre Council and John Odek Odek as a member of the Board of Directors of the National Museums of Kenya.

At the Ministry of Transport, CS Davis Chirchir appointed Fozia Ali Hassan as a member of the Transport Licensing Appeals Board.

Other changes across the government were effected by Labour CS Alfred Mutua who appointed Mwinyi Mohamed Jahazi, Captain Peter Munga, and Julius Segera to the Seafarers Wages Council.

As noted by Mutua, Jahazi will serve as the chairperson of the council while the other two serve as members.

On his part, Education CS Julius Ogamba appointed Yussuf Abdullahi Mohammed and Rosemary Talaso to be members of the National Council for Nomadic Education in Kenya for 3 years.

Equally, at the Ministry of Energy, CS Opiyo Wandayi appointed Sally Akinyo Omotto as a board member of the National Oil Corporation of Kenya.
