Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has exuded confidence in the Kenya-Kwanza administration's ability to transform the economic fortunes of the Citizenry.
Prof. Kindiki, states that President William Ruto's government has managed to pull the country from the 'pit-hole it was in and macroeconomic indicators are positive.
Speaking on Friday in Nyandarua County, Kindiki said the country’s economy had recovered from the effects of Covid-19, as evidenced by drop in the cost of essential commodities like unga and fuel.
The Second in command, attributed the country’s woes to the 'sorry state' the government found it in 2022, noting that sacrifices had to be made to restore the economy. Now that this has been done, Kindiki claimed the focus is on attracting investors, initiating development projects, Completing stalled projects, creating employment and easing the tax-burden on Kenyans.
He assured the citizenry that all promises made by the Kenya-Kwanza administration will be fulfilled before 2027.
According to him, the President Ruto led administration is committed to easing the cost of living and completing infrastructure projects that will benefit Mwanachi before seeking re-election.
“I want to assure you that we are working hard to fulfill all the promises we made to the people of Kenya. Before we come back to ask for your votes again, we will account for each and every promise we made to the people of Kenya,” he said.
Kindiki noted that the focus now is on developing the country via key projects targeting raising the socio-economic status of all citizens.
The Deputy President reiterated his recent remarks that the Kenya Kwanza administration will ensure fairness in the distribution of national resources across all parts of the country.
Dp Kindiki said the President William Ruto-led administration is keen on instituting equity and equality in service provision.
He said no part of Kenya will be discriminated against because of how they voted and this includes equal access to resources, opportunities and government services.
“The Ruto administration is instituting fairness, equity, equality in distribution of national resources to make sure every community, every county and every place is treated equally and has equal opportunity to get access to government opportunities and resources.
“The government is ensuring that as we share national resources across all the 47 counties, the 290 constituencies, 1,450 wards because all Kenyans deserve equal treatment for we all belong here,” Kindiki said.
The DP explained that despite there being political competition during elections, whoever is elected serves all despite political affiliations.
