Uhuru To Chair Special Jubilee Party Delegates Conference Meeting

The Jubilee Party has announced a Special National Delegates Conference (NDC) scheduled for Friday, September 26, at the Jockey Club, Ngong Racecourse in Nairobi.

In a notice issued on Thursday, September 4, the party stated that the conference is being convened pursuant to the party’s constitution.

The agenda for the meeting includes receiving a status report from the National Executive Committee, reviewing and approving key party instruments, and addressing other matters that may arise.

Delegates will specifically deliberate on amendments and approvals concerning the party’s constitution, organs, policies, and programs.

“Further to our notice of a Special National Delegates Convention dated 5th August 2025 and pursuant to Article 8.1 and 10.1 of the Jubilee Party Constitution, a notice is hereby issued for a Special National Delegates Convention to be held at the Jockey Club, Ngong Racecourse, Nairobi, Kenya on 26th September 2025,” the notice read.

This comes a month after Jubilee Party leader, former President Uhuru Kenyatta, chaired a Jubilee Party National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting at the party’s headquarters in Nairobi.

In a statement on Tuesday, August 5, the party noted that the meeting marked the first NEC session to be convened following the conclusion of a series of court battles that had disrupted the party’s leadership structure.

During the meeting, the NEC deliberated on several pressing matters affecting the party, with a key focus on rejuvenating Jubilee’s presence and role in the country’s political landscape.

According to the statement, three core areas formed the basis of the discussions, including a comprehensive review of party affairs and an assessment of the progress made on ongoing programs.

The party also discussed strategic plans for reinvigorating the party’s structures and operations across the country.

“The leadership reaffirmed its commitment to restoring Jubilee Party’s central role in national political discourse and serving its members with renewed dedication,” the party said.

Uhuru was reinstated as the party’s leader on Saturday, June 12, after the Milimani High Court upheld resolutions from the Jubilee Party’s May 2023 NDC meeting.

The decision also validated leadership changes made during the convention, including confirming Jeremiah Kioni as Secretary‑General and Saitoti Torome as National Chairperson.

The Registrar of Political Parties subsequently issued a special gazette notice on June 30, 2025, formally codifying Uhuru’s leadership and validating the new executive lineup.
